Playoffs:- 5/4/2001:-Livas Targoviste will face B.C ICIM Arad on the 7th of April for the playoffs of the Divizia`A of the womens basketball championship.In the first game of the season Livas lost 39-49 to B.C ICIM at Arad.In the second game at Targoviste,Livas won easily by 74-59.Livas is very strong at "Sala Sporturilor" and it is very important as Livas havent lost this season at home.There is a very warm and strong atmosphere in the game by the supporters and they urge their team to win.Livas has a very strong side this season and they only fear of themselves...meaning that the team fears their bad performance because a Livas in form cannot be beaten by anyone in Romania and why not in Europe. The second playoff game will be on the 13th of April and the third on the 14th of April. Last season Livas lost the championship to Arad after a very controversial match("bad" referee) ,but this season Livas is stronger and more determined to prove they are the best team in Romania by winning the championship. 12/4/2001:Livas faced Arad and won by 64-56.The game was very intense with livas needing the win to gain up on the 2 defeats at Arad and Arad wanted the win to go to the final.Livas played with Nitulescu,Nicolae,Pascalau,Markovic,Pricop,Musat,Sarbu,Contei and Stanescu.Arad played with Mandache,Iaroscho,Parau,Dragus,Nastor,Belevich,Matei,Tretiak,Sandu and Grecu.Anca Nitulescu was the star of the game by scoring 30 points against her former club.Simona Nicolae had a good game by scoring 11 points,while Florina Pascalau scored 9.Ivana Markovic scored 7 points,Andrea Pricop 5pts.and Simona Musat 2 points.Referees were Banica and Rosu. Livas had a very hostile refereeing especially by Banica...he should think about his future in the sport after this game.... Livas was always infront in the score and showed they are a better team than Arad. 13/4/2001:-Livas Targoviste won Arad 62-59 after a very agonizing and ecstatic game.With 2 minutes to go Livas was back in the score with 52-59 and Arad thought that they would win...Livas fought hard and managed to win the game in the end with 62-59,making a serie of 10-0 in 2 minutes.Livas showed fighting spirit and managed to get the desireable win to make the score 2-2 and to have the last desidable game in Arad at the 21/4/.Anca Nitulescu was again the star of the game after scoring 23 points.Livas played with Nitulescu(23p),Nicolae(11p),Pascalau(14p),Markovic(8p),Pricop(2p),Musat(4p),Sarbu and Contei.Stanescu was injured for the game with a ligament injury.Referees were Oprea and Udrica.It was a good refereeing at this game.Livas will now face Arad at Arad for the 5th and last game that will show the team that will go on to the final to face Sportul Studentesc that won Rapid Bucharest in the other Semi-Final. 23/4/2001:-Livas Targoviste lost today to BC ICIM in Arad(78-51)for the 5th and last game for the semi-final of the championship.The game was very tough and Livas lost because of their mistakes...Livas only fears themselves and thats what happened in Arad.Florina Pascalau was the teams top scorer for the game by scoring 15 points.The team will play Rapid Bucharest for the third place that leads to the Liliana Ronchetti Cup. Livas will win the three games needed to qualify for the european cup.Livas will correct any mistakes made during this season to have a better season for 2001-2002 to achieve its aims to win the championship..but every season a referee either called Banica or anything else always keep us from winning the championship each season. 26/5/2001:-Livas targoviste has won Rapid Bucharest for the third place playoff.Livas won 2 games in Targoviste and 1 in Bucharest to claim the third place for this season.Livas will participate in the "Liliana Ronchetti Cup" along with Arad and Sportul.Livas will come even stronger in the next season and challenge for the championship.Livas will win it next year with a bit of luck and fair refereeing.Livas will try to win the championship next season and you remember that the legend will rise to its throne again...
